What do you know about tonsillitis?

I am 16 years old male and have had swollen tonsils and lymph nodes since January. No other symptoms. Bumpy tonsils and not so big lymph nodes but enough to know they are swollen. Ive been asking yahoo answers before if it's HIV or Cancer. Most of my responses were tonsillitis but I've had this going on for 7 months? What can it be please help me out I'm young and scared and need help with the real deal.
