Are fireworks illegal in Vallejo California?

i only have smoke bombs. I wanted to buy some fireworks for the 4th of july but i hear they are illegal here in vallejo california. The only stuff they sell here is sprarkle fountains and smoke balls. I wanted to buy M80's and mortars. i live in a all dirt low vegetation area other than a palm tree in my yard. I also have a fire extinguisher on stand by. I am not a complete idiot and i will not blow my hand off, trust me i just wont. i need to know if fireworks are illegal in vallejo california, San Fransisco bay area , and if i should buy it from the phantom firework stand or from chinatown?
