Stopped at a stop sign, then received a ticket for not yielding?

It was about 12:30 AM, I was going from a one-way alley to a two-way road. the car in front of me turned right then I stopped, looked both ways, and turned right as well. about 800 ft. ahead the light turned red so I stopped next to the car in front of me. The light then turned green and as I began to turn left a police officer of a bike came darting towards my car. I thought it was just a pedestrian about to hit me and it scared me. Then he put his lights on. I was worried and had no idea what was happening. I knew I stopped at the stop sign so I thought that couldn't be why he pulled me over. The police officer never looked me in the eye, he mumbled i wasn't looking at the stop sign, asked for insurance, ID, if I had a ticket in the last year, etc. I was shaking I was so scared from the situation of him coming at me like that so I just waited for him to come back and explain. He asked me to sign the ticket and I said, "I'm sorry, but what happened?" He said you didnt't yield at that stop sign." I asked which one and he said "The one on the one-day road." I then said, "I'm sorry but I did." He had no response and asked me to sign the ticket. I just called and it's going to be $165. to get this straight, he made clear that I DID stop, but that I didn't "yield?" what defines yielding? I looked both ways, no cars came, I stopped completely, and then drove over 800 ft to his direction while at night time and he had no possible view if I yielded or not. Should I take it to court? It's also the 30th, which people have told me at the end of the month that police officers need to make a certain amount of tickets. The fact that this man was on a bike over 800 ft. away and nowhere near me just blows my mind. I feel this is incredibly unjustly and even though it's just a ticket I didn't deserve it. Court or no court?

I just got a new male budgie named Nero. I put him in the same cage as my two others which are male (cloud strife) and female (kai). The males get along great. Its just nero and kai dont get along. I just want to love everyone so much and show them hope and help every second, but so many people are mean to me. What's the point of me continuing to go through all this strife? I'm planning on auditioning for either the Colts or Phantom Regiment. I've been on colorguard for several years working with flag and I love it. I'm seriously thinking about making this part of my life. I'm curious what a typical day of drum corps is like though. My niece has depression - how can I help? - long?

The best thing you can do is just be there for her. I currently suffer from bouts of depression and anxiety (as I had a emotionally, psychologically, physically, and inappropriately abusive father and I'm going through a court case to get him out of my life) so I know how it hurts. I've found that you really can't fix depression, and it's kind of a thing that goes away on it's own. The good thing is, she's seeing a therapist, that'll really, really help her (I see a therapist as well) As for what your fam and you can do, here's my advice. Be very kind and comforting towards her and show that you care, but don't try to talk about the traumatic events with her (it'll just re-traumatize her) if she wants to talk about them, she will. Maybe hang out with her a little more and if she starts to talk to you about it, be there to support and comfort her. I hope I helped!

Is my pet rabbit dying?

He is about 6 years old. He is breathing very slowly and doesn't move AT ALL. He almost seems paralyzed. He doesn't blink, doesn't look at anything, doesn't sniff anything...nothing at all. Sometimes, in response to touch, he seems to have a spasm or convuslsion, but then back to being completely still. He has not eaten or drank anything for about a day but he seemed perfectly fine yesterday. His teeth are growing very long though. I am scared to pick him up because I am afraid that he will die right in my arms. What should I do?!

Frequent urination, and fishy smell?

In the past few days I have noticed that I have to frequently urinate and even after I urinate I still feel the urge to as if I didn't get it all out and will shortly after have to go again and will experience the same urge right after emptying my bladder. Along with that I've noticed that I have a fishy discharge smell it isn't strong. Other than that I have noticed no other symptoms no burning when I pee or anything like that. I bought some urinary tract infection pills to see if that relieves any of the symptoms and I took a urinary tract infection test and it came back negative. It has been over a year since I had unprotected sex, could it possibly be an STD? (from what I've read I haven't noticed that my symptoms really match up too closely to STD symptoms as I'm sure you can see.) Or is it more likely an infection? I read something about Bacterial Vaginious which apparently causes a fishy smell but it didn't seem like any of the symptoms of that were frequent urination? Does anyone know what this could be? I can't visit my doctor until next week as I am out of town, but I have myself so stressed I can't even enjoy my trip at this point.. I'm such a worrier so this is just traumatic for me, someone please give me advice, tips, remedies, or ideas of what this could be! You won't believe how appreciative I'll be of any responses!

I think you sound a bit odd, but if you want to be that way, then be it. But don't diss social stuff, it's more important than if everyone just observed and made notes. We need to meet and make friends for us to talk and fall in love and do anything. Your best bet is to leave it be or your going to do more bad than good. I interviewed for a job on Monday and was told by the interviewer that she really liked me...?

I have currently ran a power cable and a attached a d-block on it. Whats hooked up to the d-block is a 3000 watt Boss Phantom amp and thats powering 3 1200 watt Sony Xplods. powered amps sound mighty good, but you have hit on their main limitation: no volume control. a simple audio interface is just that: simple. they too do not usually offer volume control on the monitor out, you are supposed to set levels in the computer program, not the interface. i think you best option would be a USB mixer, Firewire will be out-of-sight expensive, same for midi control. the alesis multimix 6 is about $100 and has most but not all of what you need. To get all your wishes you are looking at $800 at least.

Severely Depressed and Alone.?

I'm 19 years old and I just graduated from high school. I don't get any joy out of life anymore and I'm not even excited about being done with high school. I have only a few friends, roughly ten. I hide the fact that I'm depressed in front of my friends. I moved around schools a lot in high school which probably didn't help. I am generally outgoing and nice, and some people tell me I'm funny. I have never had a girlfriend in my life and am still a virgin. Believe me, I have tried many times to get a girlfriend and always get rejected, which ruins my pshyche even more. I'm in fairly good shape and people have told me over the years that I'm good looking. I have been going to a phychologist who has been practicing for over thirty years. And after two years he hasn't done me any good. He doesn't seem to relate to me because he's nearly 70 years old. I tried a few anti-depressents and the side effects were too much to handle. My parents just think that I'm just going through normal teenage stuff and don't understand the seriousness of it. Deep down inside I feel completely alone and empty and often think about offing myself because I feel like my life isn't really worth living. I have always felt completely disconnected from the whole world and I don't really relate to anyone at all. None of my life seems enjoyable even when I'm with my friends and lately I have been losing interest in all the things that I used to enjoy. I often cry when I'm alone for no apparent reason. The whole world just seems bland and plane. Seasons don't even effect me, I feel the exact same way in the winter and in the summer. My fear is that I'll wake up in twenty years and my whole life will have just past me by right before my eyes. I have told all of this to my psychologist and he still hasn't helped me in the slightest way. To top all of this off I am a convicted felon and am on supervised probation for the next five years for possessing a large amount of marijuana with the intent to deliver. I had 1 clown loach in a 36 gallon tank with 4 black phantom tetras, 4 mollies, and 3 glofish. I know some think clown loaches are aggressive but they actually are not. He was a peaceful fish. Is choosing the wrong category really such an egregious mistake?

I'm new to YA. I recently asked a question and inadvertently checked the wrong radio button for the category. Two people answered the question but many others did nothing more than chastise me about the category. While none of their responses rose to the level of YA abuse, I was offended. I'm a few days shy of having spent 68 years on this planet, have two college degrees, have lived in three different countries and traveled extensively in over 20 others. No contact and no response to my texts?

I met a really great guy almost 3 years ago and we were a really great match. He was and is still a great guy. However, I broke up with him and tried to work things out with an ex. I sometimes dislike Christians who are very pushy with their religion and intolerant of others just for not sharing their beliefs. I don't think all Christians are like that though. All atheists don't hate all Christians and all Christians don't hate all atheists. No charges, can this non cps agency scare us to join their program??!?

My fianc� and I have been working on my infidelity & we have had three instances in the past year where she has gotten so angry with me during an argument that she called the cops bc she is dramatic about it & being her feelings are so hurt still that's her response to when she gets so upset. Not to mention she feels comfortable calling the police bc her brother in law is a cop in the next department over from where we live. Our last fight spiraled out of control & she lied saying I pushed her & she had our 1 yr old in her hands. She was so upset & crying bc of something hurtful I said while I was mad too. We do not argue constantly infact these are the only 3 bad fights we've had all year! The cop at the last incident called cps on my fianc� --- my fianc� allowed cps to come to our home & she was told he wasn't an official cps worker but was there to make an assessment. She gave him permission to speack with our child's dr & when he was leaving he told her this was the easiest visit he has ever been on. 4 weeks later he calls her back saying he needs another home visit & he wants us to enroll in this program where we would work with him with a therapist regarding our relationship. Not bc he had a bad resort from my childs dr but bc he looked over the police report & he feels we need it. My fianc� knows this isn't cps so she told him she wasn't interested in his program & he said ok. He called back the next day leaving a threatening message stating him & his supervisor will give me until Tuesday to work with their program & if I don't want to they are going to call cps & file an official report against me. It says this right on the voicemail. I've hired an attorney but he is in court today--- can they do this?? Should my fianc� amend the police report that she LIED on? She was so upset and mad when the cops made her right it. NO charges were filed! And this guy came here and knows there is nothing wrong & our child is not in a violent home! Our dr gave a perfect report! Even stating we have always been a loving caring family! Can they use this scare tactic threatening message to get us to join their program?

Pregnant with Implanon?

Ive been on the implanon for about a year and a half now. My periods have been very irregular to the point where i cant even guess when my next period will be. I know someone who was on birth control (but i think she had the mirena) and she said she would leak out of her breast and was bloated but not pregnant. She too had gotten pregnant before while being on birth control in the past. Even if you think you may look stupid for worrying i would check with my doctor if i were you. Leaking from your breasts when you may not be pregnant is not normal you obviously know that. Your doctor must be kind of judgmental, because you are not a doctor and she cant expect you to KNOW your not pregnant with something like that. Its YOUR body of coarse you need to worry. Take action and you might want to get a second opinion if you are afraid to go back to your doctor.

My husband have physically hurt me over the years by grabbing my hair tight and shaking me while pushing me down to the ground. I highly suggest Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I'm afraid it's not very modern, but it's very appropriate for what you're looking for. It's quite a long story, and can be confusing, but it's not hard to stay engaged once the story's picked up, because it is seriously fantastic. One of my favorite books.

The Legend of Zelda handheld games easier now?

Starting from Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages. In all of those games, you swing your sword in 90 degrees increments (like to the right of you, to in front of you). Also, your weapon selection is nice and big. On the Minish Cap, you're able to swing you're sword in 180 degrees increments (to the right of you, all the way to the left) which makes the game easier, but the weapons selection is still pretty good. But now, with the DS games, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit tracks, you can just tap an enemy with the touch screen, and it automaticaly hits the enemy. And the weapon selection? It's terrible, pathetic even, on Zelda standards. But you're thinking: "Oh, well its the DS, they should implement touch screen controlls." In my opinion, not if it makes the game ridiculously easy, and ruins the Zelda experience. So, do you think Zelda handheld games have gotten easier? And if so, how?

I sometimes dislike Christians who are very pushy with their religion and intolerant of others just for not sharing their beliefs. I don't think all Christians are like that though. If you have a problem with someone you have a relationship with the thing to do is to talk to them about it. Every person and situation is unique, so tell your friend you value them and want to know why there is a sudden problem. All atheists don't hate all Christians and all Christians don't hate all atheists. I can't think of anyone actually offhand that I know that I hate, some people I enjoy less then others and some I don't get along with as well but hate would be an awfully strong label for that.
